I have listed my academic qualifications and background on my Home page. I now need to demonstrate that I have some knowledge and experience with web content services and how to write for websites. So, let me outline my approach for developing web content.
The Essential Steps
For your website to reach the plateau where it attracts targeted visitors, there are 4 essential steps that must be mastered. It is like climbing a ladder. If you falter at any one of the steps, you cannot climb the next step and you will never get to the top. Each step is a pre-requisite for climbing the next. These are the steps:
- You must choose the correct niche market.
- You must choose the right keywords (searh phrases).
- You must attract targeted visitors to your site.
- Your "unique sales proposition", expressed on your sales page, must convert traffic to buyers.
I failed myself with my early websites. For six months I got nowhere for the simple reason that I was targeting the wrong keywords. I have learned a lot by this mistake and I can now help others by writing SEO optimized content.
We always need to keep our end objectives in mind. When creating a website, the primary goal must be to get listed at the top of the first page of in Google for the keyword we target.
